Twenty-five years ago, Eleanor Workman felt the call of God to fill the tremendous need in Haiti. Eleanor "Mom" Workman, then in her mid-fifties, sold her home, quit her government job and surrendered her music ministry to the new directions of God for her life. The island of Haiti is approximately the size of the state of Maryland, but is home to more than 7 million people.
Years of political unrest made foreigners hesitant to invest in the economy of the country, but this did not deter Mom Workman. She wisely invested the Gospel of the heavenly Kingdom in the hearts and minds of Haiti's future leaders - the children.
